Remember when we tried to sled, but the sled wouldn’t move for some reason. We laughed so hard.
Remember when Lillian, while trying to get on the sled as I held it still for her on the side of our (rather steep) hill, just slid right off the sled’s slick surface. Down the hill she went. No sled necessary.
Remember when Eliot went inside to get warm and to take off her gloves, because they were soaked. And then, not ten minutes later, out she comes with socks on her hands (and plastic bags wrapped around the socks!!). We laughed so hard and praised daddy’s ingenuity.
Remember how it felt to stand in the middle of our street without any fear of cars, our neighborhood a winter wonderland.
I want to remember times like this forever. The fun, the silly, the laughter, and the sense of peace. I am intensely grateful for their beauty. For your beauty.
