eight days a week | ryan
July 15th, 2016

Eight Days a Week is a project meant to encourage and inspire its participants (a fabulous group of photographers from across North America) to document what they see and to share it with the world. There are no “rules” – there is only vulnerability in the sharing of our own variations on the topic.

For my part, I’ve decided to turn my camera to those people that I call friend. They are my most important relationships. They are who I run to eight days a week – in joy and in sadness. I owe them everything.

Ryan. He is kindness and wit, honesty and sharp humor. He is loyal, generous and protective of what he holds dear. He is where I go when I want straight talk served up with a side of inappropriate humor (as it turns out, we are alike in that way). He is a kindred spirit.

P.S. Yes, he is technically family (in-law!). I promised myself that I would not feature “family” in this project outside of my husband. But, I am letting him in under in-law status and I feel okay about that.
